About nGrid

nGrid, lead by NewMedia Express is the winning consortium awarded by Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (iDA) under the National Grid initiative. nGrid will offer Software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications using blade server infrastructures provided by Fujitsu Asia, the group’s designated hardware vendor and systems integrator.

The fellow consortium members including:

  1. NewMedia Express, a web hosting and managed services provider.
  2. Fujitsu Asia, high performance computing hardware vendor and system integrator.
  3. 1-Net Singapore, a telco-class Internet Data Centre and infocommunications technology solutions provider.
  4. Microsoft Singapore, a leading software vendor.
  5. Advanced ERP, an enterprise applications developer.

The consortium’s services will be located at the 1-Net Singapore data centre in Technopark@Chai Chee, and is scheduled for rollout by September 2008. The consortium will incorporate 200 processor cores, five terabytes of storage capacity and other features which may be scaled up as demand grows.
